The first of five webinars of the Make a Difference Series, that took place on 18 May 2021, concentrated on the links of SARS-CoV-2 / COVID-19 to HAE, the question if it triggers attacks and aggravates HAE and on frequently asked questions (FAQ) about how HAE patients should deal with Covid-19.

The Make a Difference webinars focus on the diagnostic work-up in patients with recurrent angioedema including hereditary angioedema (HAE), therapy control and optimization. The overall aim of this webinar series is to help to provide the optimal therapy to all patients with recurrent angioedema as early as possible, especially patients with HAE.

The webinars will cover strategies for achieving earlier diagnosis and lower rates of misdiagnoses, approaches for family screening in patients with HAE, the implementation of close-meshed therapy control, and guidance on how to continuously optimize therapy methods.
